Well there are currently something like 20 models in the EEE range, which is a bit frustrating when someone says EEE beater. Which EEE, specifically?

Looks to be in competition with the 1000h as opposed to the eee 901. All i can say is, "meh", nothing really makes it stand out from the crowd, although we dont know much about battery, what the keyboard's like and the likes.

sorry I offended you if you have already bought an eee pc - I was just pointing out a new product... mmm the 1000 model eee then! You know that with Lenovo that it's likely to be bomb-proof and they have a good record on battery life in general.

That isn't quite true. There have been hundreds of complaints from N100/N200 and certain Thinkpad users regarding their batteries dying out of the blue (myself included). This has generally happened just out of warranty (typically) with little to no support from Lenovo themselves.

Heh, don't worry.. I have actually just bought a 1000H, but I was already aware of the Lenovo and it didn't seem to have anything particularly outstanding to make it worth my while waiting for the S10 to come out.

well I was right on you having one - post-buyer behaviour reaction!
I like the look of some of the netbooks but there seems to be a new one announced / released every week at the moment so i'll hold off for a bit to see if someone manages to get the perfect mix on specs and price.

Looks nice but the market is yet to settle down so I think I'll wait a while before making any purchases.

I couldn't agree more - I've been following progress for a few months now, but there's nothing quite there for me yet. Touch screen, integrated 3G AND wireless, and a 5 hour+ battery, and I'll start getting interested.
