MBA dissertation

    Hi,

    I am an intrenational student in DBS. MBA student looking to get a dissertation topic.
    I am interested in the present recession and how oil and gas companies can make the best of the situation.
    Also interested in banking services as relates to international students in Dublin.

    Any ideas aside from my interests is greatly appreciated.:)

    Welcome to boards, always good to see more new members.

    Not exactly sure what angle you will be approaching a dissertation from , financial/economical maybe??? But from my own experience make sure it's not too broad an angle and once you started you usually find you can't stop writing.

    Maybe you could explore the impact of areas like the IFSC (representatives of oil, gas and banking located in IFSC) which area meant as a global hub for business and other such examples around the world, similarities, differences and how the recession has effected them and how they can learn from this. Shouldn't be too much difficult getting a couple of companies to interview.

    i appreciate your response.
    This is really a good idea and yeah i agree that once you started it just keeps flowing but the onus lies on one to kick start it which is where in struggling with.
    I was going to to use Topaz energy as my case study buy this IFSC is quite interesting and i am going to look into it.
    What do i do with my topic though? lol
