Fuertaventura - which resort?

    Hi,

I have been looking for a holiday for the end of August for a while & had settled on a Greek island - but it's next to impossible to find flights. I have been to Lanzarote before so thought I would try Fuertaventura. I am only going for a week so will go on a package.

    What resort would anyone suggest?

    Thanks,
    Tom

There are two main resorts, Caleta de Fuste and Corralejo.

I've heard great things about both, Caleta de Fuste is the bigger (and busier) of the two. I'm off to Corralejo this coming weekend.

Check out tripadvisor for reviews of each.

I stayed in Corralejo last year in the Hesperia Bristol Playa. The resort is spot on with plenty of shops. Keep an eye out for the side street shops, there the best ones. ;)

The hotel was very good, not spectactular but better than average. It was mostly dominated by British but all families, locals and OAP's.
The whole island is very laidback. There's a few pics I took of Fuerteventura here. Make sure and visit the waterpark!

Anything you need to know just ask...

we stayed at the oasis dunas apartments in corralejo in april. apartments were quite nice,it was only a few minutes walk to the centre of the town, the water park was across the road. would recommend it to anyone. corralejo was very quiet,no rowdy gangs staggering around in the early hours, pools of vomit etc. if peace and quiet is what you want then this is the spot for you.
