My boyfriend went fishing with the lads today, so I thought I wouldn't hear from him today at all. That's fine, I thought I'd do some study before college starts again...
But no, he rang me at least 5 times today!
-First call: (moany voice) "I've no luck with the fishing today, the guys are too loud and they keep scaring all my fish away..." I just laughed!
-Second call: complaining about smth else
    .
    .
    .
    .
-Fifth call: "I just caught a crab, a really big one,it almost bit the hand off me!!! I had to chase him around for half an hour, and I eventually got him!!!!"
And he actually expected me to give him lots of praise, but all I could do was laugh at him being such a child at 23 years of age!

So I'm just wondering: are all men just big kids, and think we're their mothers!!!??

No. Some are, some aren't depends what you mean by kids. If you mean immature then not so good, if you mean retaining the the capability to play and have fun then that's a good thing.

In any case how is this a personal issue for you? Is it affecting your relationship or is this just an on the spot frustration. If it's the latter it's likely to be locked.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Indeed it is, because we deal on a case by case basis here and we are not tarring all men with the same brush.

What confuses me is why you feel the need to post unregged in this forum because your b/f called you so he could include you in his day.
What amazes me is just because he did you think him a child.

Most guys get annoyed at their female partners about them calling them all the time to include them in their day. One mans fish is another womans murder.

absolutely second what B said. in my experience, any problems with women and phone calls is usually the complete opposite, 'my man never calls me'/'we don't see each other very often and he doesn't communicate enough otherwise' etc.

is it the fact that he called you five times or the fact that he was "being such a child"? what if he had called you 5 times that day just to say he loved you? sometimes men show their affection in unusual ways :)

Yes. All men, contrary to definition, are actually kids. Kudos for realising it.

I rang my girlfriend yesterday to tell her there was a suspicious rabbit looking at me. I rang her ten minutes later to say that it was alright because he had ran away due to an inquisitive dog.

She laughed then giggled, then sighed, then called me an eejit and told me she loved me. Laughter is very important in a relationship. Maybe he was just trying to help you with the stress of studying.

    Yes, men are all kids.

Absolutely, all men are kids. Instead of being annoyed at him, did you not think how nice it was that he was thinking about you even though he was off fishing with "the lads"?

Since the OP didn't expand on her original point, this was going nowhere fast. Closed.
