Just switched over to this now. Haven't seen any actual investigative action yet, just waffle. I don't take it seriously but sometimes it can be good for a giggle.

Is anyone else seriously pissed off/appalled by the historian bint on it - Leslie what's-her-face? She's all tarted up tonight, posing with her boobs pushed out in front of her and poncing about in promo clips in wigs and trying to sound like a credible historian.

It's very upsetting. I have to assume the producers are now openly taking the piss by hiring her.

It's on! Quite boring though. Dunno how they're gonna make this run til 1 am.

Did you notice the way the presenter tells us whenever we're going back to the crew that due to being underground etc they've got no contact with them so although they know the whole thing is being recorded, they don't know when we're actually watching them..... Cut to them trying a seance and one of the guys asking if they were live at that moment (he almost cursed) and Yvette swiftly answers "yes". The ghosts must have told her, seeing as they have no contact with the studio and all.... Major gaff there.

no one has mentioned the amount of advertisements on this? If there is no adverts, there are back in the studio, and also, when something does happen on the investigation it goes straight back to the studio!!

The first few most haunted lives were good, but now its all in the studio and adverts.

Seems to be a very quiet night tonight. They can't even seem to make stuff up.

I enjoy the ghost hunt programmes that come away with creepy pics of a place or something (made up or not they're usually a good laugh) like Ghost Hunters does, that New Zealand show (I think).

But this is silly. It's gone totally downhill. Everytime they "hear" something you can't hear anything on your tv so you're just going ya ya get on with it.

I always thought Most Haunted lacked credibility. I think there are places in Ireland that you could base the same model to and people would be glued to the TV! I'm a skeptic with interest in the paranormal, but due to my own engineering background, I'd need a certain minimum of evidence to run with an incident that is said to be paranormal. Having said that, I hope to see a ghost in my lifetime, because it would force me to explain it in physical terms... I had an idea for something like Most Haunted, but it would differ in that it would offer a cash prize/payment for someone who could convince me that there house is genuinely haunted or there is genuine poltergeist activity. I was thinking of a prize fund of 10,000 Euro if I could be convinced that what I witnessed was genuine paranormal activity. What ya think???

    + 1

Thank god for Sky+, I record the first hour and a half and then watch it so I can skip the adds. It's a far cry from the first few most haunted lives when they use to be good. GH & GHI is far better to watch.

I also thought that the presenter was bordering on obnoxious, dictatorial in his presentation, full of shi*e to be honest...

That sounds like a new idea! Have you pitched it to anyone yet? you'll inevitably get tons of frauds dying to pocket ten grand but since you're a sceptic I doubt too many would be able to pull the wool over your eyes. I'd watch it!:)

Happened again. Cut to the crew having a "seance" but they were actually just sitting around a table laughing at something and asking "Are we live" over and over. Very scary!

What really bugs me is when they are in "communication" with a spirit all they ever ask is "Is anybody there" and they may get a knock, and then they just run around screaming for a while then go and ask the same question again. The poor old ghosts must be well annoyed answering the same questions over and over.

Can someone please tell me why the crew never see any ghosts or catch them on camera yet all these people at home text in saying there is a ghost on web-cam four?...Its baloni...also did anyone notice that they kind of try to dismiss more bumps and bangs now then they used to..I think thats because Jay and Grant from Ghost Hunters dissed them on their radio show...

Oh yea I really liked that Ghost Hunt(yeah it was from New Zealand) show 'twas only one season but it was cool...they got some cool pictures like the one of the succubus..couldnt say if it was a hoax or not but it was cool to watch anyway they are always repeating it on Zone Reality

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,217 ✭✭✭pookie82

Ya they once got a cool picture of what looked like a face peering out of a shower cubicle in a deserted mental assylum (on Ghost Hunters, not Most Haunted!). Whether or not it's fabricated it's certainly approached in a more genuine fashion and it's way more creepy.

Most haunted used to give me the chills way back in the beginning but now all i do is piss myself watching it. All the texts have to be a scam. "oh great show guys, keep it up, we're having a most haunted party here, really enjoying it..." and my personal favourite: "We have a feeling that a very evil man called George will try to hurt Karl tonight so please stay safe team". ha ha ha ha ha :-)

I thought that the Pendle Hill MH Live wasn't too bad - the witch hunt one where they were outside and reckoned they could hear screaming women etc. But the last few have been total sh*t.

I miss Derek Accorah too. The man was a moron but it was way more fun to watch his theatrics than the current bore psychic they have on it.

ahhhh great:o thanks for reminding me of the name of that
was thinking about it last night - also of the episode where a nasty spirit took the power of Dereks legs in a theatre in England - nasty. Gave me the heeebygggeeebys for ages
Its not the same without Derek

Did you ever see the one where he becomes possessed by a bad guy in some tower they're investigating and starts laying into Yvette - calling her a whore and a b*tch and everything. Think it was really just an excuse to vent at her live on air. It was really funny.

The new guy never gets possessed. He just feels cold and "odd" a lot. It's rubbish.

I'm as skeptic as you probably all know, an open minded one that that I have to say, but Jasus it's sh*te like this that has made me a skeptic!

Most Haunted used to be entertaining back in the day. Now it is pants, for all the reason given in the posts above.
Watched some of the latest LIVE! one:

    - Too many adverts
    - Nothing happened. NOTHING
    - Historian is a gimp
    - Psychic is useless. "I sense......something is here"

All in all, a waste of space. I must check out that Ghost Hunters series.

Pendle Hill was good. I watched some of Sundays live show . Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Yvette tried to liven it up by asking if some of the spirits were from Pendle hill. The show has really gone downhill and I think a lot has to do with the current psychic (I think his name is Brian). I remember one part where Ciaran O'Keefe asks Brian if there was anything special behind this particular door. Ciaran told him it was a toilet. Brian starts saying yes I can sense Chruchill would have used this door and he would say "I'm going to the toilet" I had to laugh.

He is useless. He rarely gives any concrete details such as dates, names or even appearance.

I won't be surprised next if he comes out with:

"Yes, there are 3 spirits here"

"Can you give us any names or details"

"Let me see........yes. Yes, they belong to the genus "Homo" and they are of the species "H. Erectus. Now, where is my easel"

He's not great at all and annoying to watch, if he were good then some people may think he's fake, bit of a catch 22 being a medium i think. Why did David Wells leave ?

As for Derek Accorah and his spirit guide "Sam", he was great to watch and should of got an Oscar for some of his preformances, the man was in a league of his own :D

From what I've seen of that show, it just looks sh1te. I don't trust the way the night vision mode on the camera looks when they're inside in buildings. Plus, I think they just exaggerate the whole 'fear factor' of their investigations.

I've heard they have some other eejit instead of Acorah now. Is he equal in his crapness, or worse than the Liverpudlian langer?
