Advise on rates for private classes

I have just been asked to give private classes to two children who live next door. I am a secondary teacher but have so far been unable to get a post this year so apart from sub work this will be my only consistent work.

Anyway my question is how much should I ask for??? The children are about 8 and 10 both in primary school here and need help with their English (I do have a qualification in TEFL) and with their homework. Their dad wants me to take them separately at least a few times a week in their own home. I have never really done private classes before and would appreciate a bit of advise on the rate as I don’t want to sound greedy or to under value myself either!!

    Thanks :)

Ok, if I were you I'd go for a fairly fair rate. Just say an hour each, four days a week, €22 an hour? It'll be easy work & you can still do a grind a night after.
