I'm looking for somewhere goo to go within this area: Naas, Tullamore, Portlaoise, and Mullingar.

    Anyone got any ideas?

I don't mean to sound fussy but I'd rather stab myself in the eye with a rusty knife than go out on a friday night in Edenderry

    Well that's gratitude for you.

You know, a rusty knife could give you blood poisoning?

Edenderry could/would give me suicidal tendencies. Have ye ever been out there? I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy

So that's a negatory on Edenderry. I hear you. Obviously issues there. Dare I ask why?

I'm from near enough to there hence my area of places where I can go, but apart from that there is nothing going on in Edenderry on most Saturday nights never mind a Friday night. Its a really bad place to go out with only two pubs that would even remotely interst me. The 'niteclub' if you could even call it that is onlt slightly bigger than my kitchen, and in any case is full of foreigners (especially on a friday night) and while I have nothing against foreign people I think its a fairly well known fact they tend to stick to there own so they are hardly the most chatty bunch.

All in all Edenderry is a total kip and IMHO should be nuked (as I suggested in another post on AH)

ok, ok Edenderry is out - sheesh...!:)

If niteclubs are your scene what about Time in Naas?

Foxtrot ya little mindreader. Time it is. I was getting a bit bored of it because I'm fairly regular there but there doesn't seem to be much alternative

I'm fairly regular too. All Bran is good, but have you tried Oatabix as an alternative? Same fibre content, doesn't taste as "cardboardy".

    Anyway, back on topic.

    What's in Mullingar these days?

Personally I hate niteclubs and I think Time is particularly shlte, but whatever floats your boat. Give me a late bar (with no entry fee and enough bar staff) any day. And don't get me started on the loud music! :D

That's the one thing I like about Time. There is always a quiet spot to be found in it.

Mullingar is another Saturday night town but fairly bad on A Friday night
