    Hi All,

Anyone know anywhere I can rent a Blacktie suit in South Dublin without having to be ripped off by the Shop of The Same Name?

would you consider buying one? I bought one for someone in December and it has already made the rental cost back twice over.

possibly... depending on cost - only need it now for someone's wedding and then after that Christmas Parties, ya know?

Any ideas on purchasing? Where? How Much? Bummer is that I've actually got a shirt & bowtie, could blag any pair of black trousers - but it's a tux jacket that I'm missing

I was surprised at the quality in M&S. I thought it was pretty good for something you'll only wear a couple of times a year.
I Think this is the one I got in the end but there are cheaper ones

I think they are about 150euro in Noel Reid (Dundrum & Roselawn, Dublin 15).

Most defo worth buying a tux if you have a few black tie events coming up in the next year or so......

    Hi Guys,
I'm best man for my bro and we're looking for suggestions for somewhere good to hire suits. Went to Aston Formal Wear over the weekend and found that while their staff were v helpful, and it did look good, the brother couldn't find one that suited, and their selection was quite limited.

Can anyone suggest anywhere else in the dublin region that they would recommend?
    Cheers,
    Al

A friend of mine went with Bond Bros in Goatstown, and found them very good.

I've heard of this crowd, but don't know anyone who used them. Don't know if I'd like to get a suit without ever trying it on though.

There's a great shop in Blanchardstown village for rentals, its quite new and I can't remember the name of it but we used them for our wedding and step sis for hers, they were cheaper than most others too.

On the buying a suit side, hubbie bought a good 3 piece suit a couple of years back for about 200 and has worn it to every suit occasion, well worth getting a nice suit rather than worrying about renting one. Also some of the rentals aren't always in pristine condition.
