Apple Store Belfast Imminent

Don't forget the "wonderful" O2 Experience stores (WTF is up with the one on Henry Street BTW? The top floor that has all the Apple gear has been closed off for ages now...).

Still, getting a true Apple store in Belfast is better than nothing - I'll probably check it out when it opens...

Cool. There is nothing like shopping in an apple store. I'v only been to a few though. New York, London, Boston, and the San Fransico one

thanks for the info ... but doesn't it look rather small ?

(having been to two in new york)

Looks like the size they use for shops in malls. Same size as the two in Orlando that I've been in.

The 3G store in Galway has a decent range of apple stuff. They had a south african band play in store that had used garage band to record there album. I remember reading an article at the time that said Apple sent them because it was the closest thing to an apple store in Ireland! Score 1 for the Wesht :D:D

Was in a huge one in newport beach over the summer whilst on the J1. Three maybe four time as big as what's shown here. Applied for a job there aswell but to no avail! :(

I think we should organize a bus up to the shop for the opening:D

Yeah, that's always annoyed me so much... I guess the Irish market is just too small for Apple... Though besides the UK, do other EU countries have Apple stores?

And no video downloads yet. We are crying out for a video download service and so far MS are the only one to offer us a decent one. You think that when their EU HQ is in Cork that we would have the movie downloads by now. I don't think the Irish market is too small for Apple. We saw the huge demand for the iPhone here when it was released and millions of iPods and Macs are sold here each year.

The Metro (or the other one) had a full page ad for the apple store in PC World too. I'd say that PC World store is the "tester" for whether or not we get a full dedicated apple store.

The iPhone TV ads are just the UK ads, well they used to be for the fisrt gen iPhone.

but why would they waste money when the UK ad does exactly what an irish ad would do (inform you of the product). the irish one just has a link to O2's irish site.

if it wasn't broke then no need to fix it tbh.

    A slight exaggeration, perhaps?:P

Sure the UK adverts are just redubbed versions of the US adverts with different graphics when required

Agreed, also the iphone didn't really get huge demand, its just after the 2G one they didn't think many 3G one's would sell so they didn't bother with a large stock of them

Not really. A few million of Macs and iPods could of being sold since the release of the first Mac and iPod in Ireland. 170 million iPods have being sold worldwide.
