Dying hair at home

    OK so i have now started dyeing my hair at home after going to the hairdressers for years and it looks fine. My grey tends to come through after 3 weeks so i used to get one of those root touch ups to keep me going till @ 6 weeks when i'd go back to the hairdressers. So first question is should i do the same now, i.e., just get the root touch up stuff? The other question is when i then go to re-apply the normal colour should i do the whole head or just the roots like they used to do in the hairdressers?

    Not sure if that makes sense so hope someone knows what i'm rambling about :rolleyes:

    Just do the roots or use the touch up. Otherwise yuo will get a build up of colour on the ends.

    To do your roots the best thing to do is shove the dye/bleach(keep in mind you'll have to do this first if the colour you're dying your hair is more than a couple of shades lighter than your natural colour) on the tips of your fingers and "feel" around your scalp. This nearly always works for me, but it's better to have a friend check.
