Rory Phillips (Durrr, Say Yes, London)
Skull Juice DJs (Walk The Night/Blogger's Delight, London)
    Jon Averill (Shock/Nightflight, Dublin)

    The Button Factory
    Friday 5th September

Nightflight takes a wee break on Friday 29th August the for Electric Picnic but comes back all guns blazing as we team up to host a night with some of our favourite DJs....

Benidict Michael John Bull & Alexander Joseph Egan are Skull Juice DJs, one of the most hotly tipped up and coming DJ duo's in the UK. At their residencies at Bloggers Delight and Walk The Night they purvey a dark and twisted take on disco. Creating a groove that takes in Maurice Fulton, Noze, Betty Botox, Mystery Jets, Poni Hoax, Young Dot, Marc Houle and many more.

They've remixed Late Of The Pier and Natacha Atles, along with numerous re-edits. Fittingly enough they also run their own label called Shock Horror

As many will already know Rory Phillips was resident at London's infamous T.R.A.S.H nights which led the way in breaking new music for over ten years on the London scene. A night where ravers, rockers, mods and clubbers came together, possibly for the first time, a mixing of styles that was an indicator of the music melting pot that would follow. Erol Alkan, now one of the biggest DJs in the world made his name by playing every Monday at T.R.A.S.H, and when they finished the night in January of last year Erol decided to concentrate on production duties while Rory took over the headline slot in the new Monday night slot; Durrrr.

Rory Plays awkward dance, forgotten post-punk classics and electronic oddities which have seen him DJ to crowds all across the world. Rory's sets are always eclectic but never unnessicarily so, His mixes include tracks from Glass Candy, The Emperor Machine, Talking Heads, Banbarra, Holy Hail, Giorgio Moroder, Juan Atkins, Joakim & Les Georges Leningrad amongst many others.

Rory has also increased his production quotient taking on remixes for artists such as Annie, Of Montreal, Franz Ferdinand, Chromeo, The Blow, Holy Hail and Robyn with plenty more still on the way.

Representing Dublin is Shock's Jon Averill making a relatively rare (these days at least!) appearance behind the decks. Jon is known as a former resident at one of Dublin's most beloved clubnights; Backlash and subsequently a key figure in nights like Shock, Space Camp and now Nightflight as well as contributing to collectives such as Synth Eastwood.

This year alone Shock have done shows with Ewan Pearson, John Cooper Clarke, Cadence Weapon, Dan Le Sac and Scrubious Pip, Mouse On Mars and Joakim (the first of the Shock and Nightflight versus nights of which we're hoping to do plenty more of)

Jon has supported some of his favourite DJs & acts including Optimo DJs, The Glimmers, Andrew Weatherall, **** Robot, Damian Lazarus, Rory, Juan Maclean, DJ Sneak, Jacques Lu Cont, Chicken Lips, Underworld, Black Strobe and Paris The Black Fu.
