Well with new season upon us thought time to discuss all important range planning what will be the best looks to go for A/W 08
Who should avoid what - designers- bargains - key peices and just getting it right!!

Ok so I 'll start * excitedly* 70s regenerate a couple of bits in the wadrobe
Tweed cool prints and looking for nice shoeboots over knee wool socks maybe tulip skirt - so I can be all 40's and fabulous... Cant wait

Season issue of Vogue is out! Hundreds of pages of winter fashion and the beautiful Karen Elson on the cover.

I'm so excited that vintage is making a comeback! I've always loved that style, so I've been buying it up. I got an adorable hat from ebay and I've been thinking about getting some of the feather headbands too. But I'm not sure what I'd wear them with and whether or not I'd be able to pull them off. Here's the hat!

The only problem with the hat is it's nave blue, not brown like it seems in the picture. It will be harder to match things with. :(

I finally got the hat today (had ordered it off ebay) and it's awful! Ick! Makes me look like a conehead. I don't think it will be coming to Dublin with me, poor hat.

Aw that's crap! Hope it wasn't too expensive.
I recently bought a jacket in Urban Outfitters, it's grey and kind of blazer/Chanel shape. I can't wait to wear it! Must invest in a dark purpley-pink scarf to match.
I'm looking to get a pair of ankle Doc Martens too, maybe dark red. I have knee high boots from two years ago and brogues from last year that have been re-heeled and are ready to go!

H&M mens have some nice ones in at the moment! They look really cosy and would look great draped over tighter clothes.

Cardigans sound good, too! Have any of you seen skirts like this about Dublin? I want to buy it but I really ought to stop buying clothes before I leave, so if they're readily available there I'll hold off.

Ahh, I bought it! I'm absolutely terrible, I haven't had any self-restraint lately. But I do think it's versatile and it was only $36 with shipping!

    Victoria's Secret

I had a $10 off code, I'd give it to you but you need a Vicki's Secret card to use it. But if you do decide to order something, check around on the internet, you might find a discount code.

Oh yeah Victoria's Secret is a great website for browsing, it makes everything look so glamorous. Their items leave a little to be desired though, in my opinion. They definitely cut corners with quality and charge ridiculous amounts. So window shopping is probably the best kind when it comes to them.

Bummer about the hat, hope the skirt's a success!
I love chunky colourful knitted cardigans- great with jeans or over a dressier outfit but I'm finding nice ones hard to come by this season- lots of shawls and short sleeved cardis. Any ideas for nice cardigans in Dublin this season? (I'll try H&M)

Ah yeah, the hat was only $20 so it's no biggie.

Lol, I had completely forgotten that I adored the skirt. I'm sure it will be great. The only problem with pencil skirts is the sizing; they're so slim around the hips that it's hard to know what size to order!

With that pencil skirt you could do what I plan on doing to pretty much everything this winter, buy a plain one, sew/iron on the ribboning. I've bought lots of thick cotton tights, and plain skirts and cardigans in Pennys as alas am poor. Sewing ribbons and lace trim to one of the skirts (a black ruffle), and changing all the buttons in the cardigan from crappy plastic ones to bevelled glass buttons I got on ebay, sewing smaller versions of it on the wrist as a faux sleeve closure and voila, glamourous winter wear :)

Dying for all the boots to come in the shop though, can't wait to get myself a pair with buckles *drool*

The top floor of Topshop, Stephen's Green, has all the knitwear. Some nice pieces.

I'm trying to convince my mam to crochet me some mittens to match my new coat!

That's a great idea! Ribbons would look great on almost everything I have, plus it's a nice way to personalize things.

Pity about that hat, but the skirt is fab..I saw a girl wearing a similar one, ( it was all black) yesterday and i really wished I had stopped her and asked her where she got it from!

Gorg skirt - just would try it on - probably small sizes and not very ass flattering - nope I m sticking to being tulip ie hiding my fat ass!

Noooo, pencil skirts are the best for maximizing your ass, especially with heels! The problem with Victoria's Secret is you can only buy their clothes online, so you can't try anything on first. Ahh, who knows if it'll fit.

Black would look great, too! I couldn't decide which one to buy but finally settled on brown because I already have a black pencil skirt. I love them!

Yup, deffo go with the brown...black is everywhere these days! lovely stuff on the victoria's secret website, hadn't really looked before!

Still looking for some nice boots for the winter wardrobe, saw a nice ish pair in river island but think they lookway more cowboy-y in the pic than in the shop..so hard to find boots, got a nice pair from littlewoods last year but one splash of rain and they were as stinky as anything!!
