    Is it really him though?

If it is why should he give some to charity? Not as if he is paid to play hurling.

He must have suspected it would be worth a lot less after the All Ireland Final, hence the rush to sell now.;)

I wonder if there is any ethical issues with this. he is basically selling something got for free from the GAA. Therefore he is making money from the GAA...

my opinion is fairplay to him. I think he has a right to sell all this stuff and considering how little he gets in return anythign he can do make a few bob is well deserved.

Its actually Eoin McGrath whos selling the shirt

Yeah, it's Eoin McGrath and he seems to be short on funds this month! Either that or he's doing a bit of spring cleaning! :D

He's already sold Antrim, Wexford and Offaly jerseys this month, as well as 4 pairs of football boots and 2 all star tops.

I seem to remember Peter Canavan selling his entire kit including boots from the 2003 All Ireland Final at a Charity auction. Went for £30,000 stg I think.

I have to say I agree after a few moments thought! Good luck to you Eoin and anyone else who has a go at it.... might be some payback for winter nights at training!

It was given by Eoin Mcgrath and sold for charity on ebay. The Waterford management and county board were aware of this and gave it their blessing.

Anyone know how much it went for in the end?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,174 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

    €342.76

Finally some sense in this ridiculous thread. I love when people post stuff on the internet and

    1. Are too stupid to even match the player's jersey number to the right player.

    2. Are too ignorant and downright lazy to look into the FACTS of the matter before they post.

    3. Think they can hide behind a keyboard and blacken the name of someone whos giving their all, training night in and night out to represent their county.

To the OP and everyone else who jumped on the bandwagon and decided to start a witch hunt, I hope you feel ****ing stupid now.

This whole thread reeks of bitterness.

I think point number 2 is fantastic. Pot, kettle and black spring to mind.

I may have been a tad hasty in my comments yesterday and I apologise unreservedly to the OP and all concerned. Put it down to tension at the lack of All Ireland Tickets.:o:(

Not really a good enough reason considering your reaction to everybody in fairness!!

In all fairness, he still apologised, which is already more than what 99% of the bad posters here would do.

The tickets part was a joke, mate, obviously.

After reading similar such threads on other websites and been infuriated by the way people jumped to conclusions without knowing the full facts on said sites, I overreacted somewhat when i logged on here and saw the same thread (with the wrong hurlers name on it!).

I've apologised, theres no more I can do.
