Hair Dye Help

    Hi, Need some advice!
I've been dying my hair black for years, and want to change to Flame-Red. Only problem is, everyone says this might not be possible, as my hair is really long (nearly at the nape of my back), and no hairdresser would dye it all in one go. I did ask one hairdresser but she said, she would do it in stages of highlights....but who has the time or money for that!!!

So is there hairdressers out there who think this is ok? any advise on this would be great.:P

As long as your hair's in good condition it should be fine.
You may need to do it in two or three stages so you don't wreck your hair though. I'd say ultimatly to listen to a hairdresser's advice, or risk ending up with damaged, orange hair.

If you want Flame Red hair - it won't really matter what colour blonde your hair will be before hand, e.g. if it has an orangey tinge to it. Use Special Effects hair dye to get the red you're after. It will fade very quickly to try wash your hair in cold water and the less the better. Also, invest in some awesome conditioner - I use Aussie and it has saved my hair so many times after bleaching it :D

if you've been dyin it black you could get all the colour stripped before dyin it red but again it would cost you in any hairdressers. but there is nothing impossible.

I wanted to dye my hair black, but apparently it just doesn't come out when you try to strip it back.
