Slander Advice

On the site last.fm, all band pages are public. Each band bio is like wikipedia and can be edited by any memeber.

My band's profile was edited maliciously calling the band "gay" among other derogatory terms. This edit presented a false and damaging image of the band to the public.

We know who the editor was as the site saves the history of each edit (the evidence is there). I'm just wondering, could the band potentially bring a lawsuit against this person for slander?

    Thanks.
