    Hi, thought I'd posted but it seems not... so hopefully this isn't a double posting

    Anyways, off to Egypt with the traveldepartment and they have provided some options which I'm wondering whether to avail of.

    Instead of getting an overnight train from Cairo to Luxor we can fly. My preferred option I think cos have been on overnight trains before and don't feel the need to do it again unless there is something unmissable about it?

    Other option is to fly from Hurghada to Cairo instead of taking the 6 hrs bus journey - anyone know if there is anything we would miss if we were to skip this bus trip?

    i'd definitely fly. done the overnight train a few years ago,it's a 10 hour trip and though the coach is relatively modern i found it uncomfortable and didn't sleep a wink. i won't even start on the bathroom facilities :eek:

    Has anyone out there been on the Traveldepartments 9 day trip to Egypt ? I am thinking of going Oct 13th
    Am very worried about TOILETS and hygeine in general !
    Any feedback on the sleeper train between Cairo and Aswan would be greatly appreciated

    I am also thinking of travelling with same company on oct 13th this year but am dreadfully worried about sleeping trains and mainly TOILET facilities in general all over Egypt. Please, please tell me the worst
