That's a good website , been on it many times before.

Brings back memories of taking the Irish-built Bombardier 'KD' and 'KC' buses home from school back in the early-mid 90's. They were days!

I contacted the owner of that site a few weeks back and he said that he'll be doing every year right up to 2008 (he adds a year at the start of each month. I think next month he'll be putting up pictures of 1994).

Does anyone remember what year Dublin Bus got rid of the green livery and introduced that pasty cream and blue livery? It was around the late 90's I reckon.

Also, this was a sad day :(:

The first City swift was on the 39 route in June 1993 (using the ill-fated P class DAF single deckers).

Could have sworn the first single decker was launched on the 78A route. I remember news crew being on them the day they started on that route. Dublin Bus came around to our school just before they launched too to show them off

The 78 route was changed to City Swift in February 1994 (possibly the second route to go City Swift?).

Must have been so. Those first swifts were bloody awful, the seats were terrible. They didn't last too long either. I remember there was one of the old Bombardier single deckers repainted in the city swift colours, only the one though

Some went to Bus Eireann for school runs and some changed to the City Imp livery.
