Anybody collect these? First couple of issues came with T-Rex skeleton parts. I think they re-released them about 8 years ago, but I got mine about maybe 15 odd or more years ago.

I had most of them. Cost IR£1.50 every week.
Afaik, issues 1-18 give you the pieces to the T-Rex.

After then you got collector cards and you could put them in an album.

I had most of these issues and they are probably still around the place somewhere.
But I moved onto Images of War magazine. That was pure quality as you'd get the magazine, a newspaper from that period and other stuff like ration cards.

Yeah, you got the dinosaur skeleton, then the skin (but nobody ever put it on cos the skeleton looked cooler). And yeah, I remember the cards you got.. They gave you a binder for the cards and a binder for the mags.

And the weekly centre section with 3d dinosaurs.

Think Triceratops was the 1st issue, TRex was 2nd...Stegasaurus was 4th

Man I was addicted to that magazine, think it came out around the time Jurassic Park was released, so everyone collected it

Ya loved these got them every week. You got 3D glasses for the centre-fold pick. Don't remember the skin though, just the skeleton, which glowed in the dark.

I collected a few but never finished the entire set. Also on the subject there used to be a few about history available for collecting, I just remember the advert about the Queen Elizabeth edition ("her black teeth!"),

I think you are right - that sounds familiar.

Those magazines were great - I used to only buy them for the different pieces of the model dinosaur each week.

I haven't thought about those in years. I used to collect them aswell. I'm missing about 13 in different places iirc. The skeleton was class. I particularly loved the skull part.

I think that they went up to 127. Will have to check the attic the next time I'm home.

I remember that ad too! HER BLACK TEETH! (and it shows her looking creepy with black teeth :))

I collected all the Dinosaurs! mags bar a few. I had the newsagent put one aside for me each week. Towards the end they went on from Dinosaurs to weirdo prehistoric mammals.
All I remember from the magazine (and I posted this also in palaeontology forum) is that Gideon Mantle and his missus discovered the Iguanadon.

I wish I had. My mam threw them all out, along with my soul :(

I still have all mine, but couldn't possibly sell 'em. I was obsessed with dinosaurs. :D I'm fairly sure I collected more or less the whole set, but I'm sure one or two have gone missing over the years.

Scop - Try download a doc called When Dinosaurs roamed America. It's similar to walking with dinosaurs but 2 hours long. Very interesting :)

I don't think When Dinosaurs Roamed was given a DVD release in this region. However I did pick up the spin-off series Dinosaur Planet (narrated by Christian Slater no less!) for about €20 in Golden Disks a while back.

yeah, I have Dinosaur Planet. The White tip one, right? There are a few of them out. Little Das I think too. I have the divx of when dinosaurs roamed the planet. I love all likeminded documentaries.

I got the box set with all 4 episodes (no extra features though which is a shame). The episodes are:
    White Tip's Journey (Velociraptor)
    Little Das' Hunt (Daspletosaurus)
    Pod's Travels (Pyroraptor)
    Alpha's Egg (titanosaur)

For the record boards now has its very own palaeontology forum!

    Shameless plug ;)
