Ok, long story very short. Have been going out with my boyfriend for almost two years, love him to bits, am loyal and always tried my best to be a good girlfriend. Anyway two weeks ago we had a huge arguement which spiralled into a break up. I didn't txt or contact him all last week as he'd dumped me by txt (for the second time this summer) he then plagued me and i got back in contact with him....missed him a lot but was sick of fighting. Now whenever he txts a fight erupts, i just stay calm....i can't fight anymore. We've never done anything bad to eachother but the arguements have been vicious.i have said things i regret and have apologised. But he said that he fell out of love with me months ago and that no matter what he did i was worse. See i still love him, but no way can i go back knowing he lied to me about his feelings.

I want to have an ok break-up as break-ups go. He is a nice guy, we just bring out the bad in eachother lately, and its sad cos more then anything i wanted it to work. I've decided to break all contact again and i'm moving in a week for uni, any suggestions to get through this stage a break-up??

Well you've made the right choice, cut all contact. That's all you can do. Time will do the rest.

cut contact, try keep busy & distracted. the feelings wont go away overnight. 2 yrs is a long time. my ex of 2 yrs broke up with me 3 months ago, similar situation, his feelings had changed. i still miss him. not as much as i did, so it DOES get easier. but it WILL take time. youll have good days & bad days. when you have a good day try to remember how that feels so when you have a bad day you know youll be ok again.

    I agree with the others.

I would just cut all contact. But thats just me. I have never remained friends with exes once its over. Whats the point. You just hurt yourself in the long run.... You'll find you may bump into him a few years down the line and you can be friendly enough then.

But for now ljust enjoy your own independence. You just said you're starting uni shortly so you'll have plenty of things to occupy you. get involved in freshers week etc. Class nites out... you'll be fine :D
