Just to save you the bother of browsing through the site, I remember a friend of mine finding these two pages useful:

Just did this myself. Based on the research I did you need a 1.4 metre dish in the Algarve for Astra 2. I bought one of these dish's from one of the satellite installation people who advertise in the Algarve News. The dish and LNB cost €190. It cost me about another €30 for pole, fixings, and cable. I brought out a spare Panasonic DigiBox that I had.

Once I got it all setup and pointing in the right direction (using sat finder) I still couldn't get channels on the TV so had to ring the crowd I bought the dish from to troubleshoot. Turns out you need to turn the LNB by about 45 degrees for channels to come through even through I had a perfect signal. It cost me a call out charge of €60 for this 30 second adjustment.

Very happy with the outcome and no problems with getting any of the channels. I have a yellow house card which gives me C4. The card was deactivated when I started to use it and activated itself after about 24 hours of being in the Digibox.
