    Hey Guys,
Just looking for a bit of advice for buying a laptop for a friend.
Its going to be mainly used for playing poker and internet.
What I've worked out is it will probably have 120G HDD, 2 - 3Gb of Ram
a wireless card and maybe a garphics card. Budget is about €500 - €700.

Question is screen res. he'll probably multitable up to 4 tables, what would be enough here, would 1280x800 be ok? Dose it matter if the screen size is 15" or 17"? And dose he need a graphics card? Might buy it from dell outlet store if it comes up but is there any other places for a budget laptop with good screen res?
    Thanks in advance.
    Whiskey,
    Fred.

3gb ram also is pointless for what you want if you aren't running Vista. If you are then by all means.15" is ok but you really will see a benefit from 17" although the laptop will be considerably bigger. To be honest you dont need a GFX card unless your playing games or running vista and running a good few apps at a high res (1600+) or 17".HDD is fine.wireless is pretty much so the most standard thing next to a dvd drive so you dont have to worry about trying to fid one with wireless.try the dell ispiron 9400.a bit date but 17",vista,2gb ram,120gb+HDD,optional gfx card too.
Heres a link for the kind of prices its going for online
