    sorry if i am repeating any previous thread!
    as i qualify for a grant i will have my registration fees refunded.
    just wondering is there anyway i can just not pay the registration fees rather than pay and get them back anyway?:confused:

    Yeah, relay to the College that you're getting a grant and tell them that you shouldn't have to pay since you're getting a grant! It goes against the whole purpose of getting a grant if you're to pay and then get a refund so refer them to your Council for payment.

    I was in the same situation last year. The VEC/Co.Co will have contacted your college that you are recieveing a grant. HOWEVER, you still need your grant approval letter on the day of registration so don't forget to take it with you!

    When do you receive a decision on whether you re getting a grant or not?

    It depends when you submitted your application. The earlier you submit it, the earlier you get a decision. I got mine mid-august, I think.

    Aw i see, and when did you apply for it?
    I sent it away back in June, then submitted most of the documents on the 18th august.. and tomorrow will be bringing in my birth cert.. any ideas when i might hear from them now?))
