Mrs Hoagy has a birthday coming up and has dropped a hint about a Wii Fit.

What do I need to buy and where should I get it?

    Thanks.

Sorry, I should have made it clear, I'd be starting from scratch.

Well the Wii console is about €269 (as far as I know) - you'll get Wii Sports free with that.

I think Wii Fit is between €80 and €95 (shop around). Thats all you need to get Wii Fit up and running.

If you want to play 2 player on Wii Sports (tennis, boxing etc), you'll need at least 1 extra Wiimote (buy Wii Play for about €45 and you'll get a Wiimote with that), and ideally 1 extra nunchuck too (€20 I think).

    Hope that helps!

    GAME Wii Fit is €95
    GameStop its €90
    Xtravision its €80

GameStop (Stephens Green) is the only place I could find stock of those 3

I got mine bundled (Wii + Wii Fit + all needed acc) in Smyths for €325 after shopping around a bit, most places seem to have the bundle at about €350.

    Smyth's bundle sounds good.

Tesco have wii fit for 75€ [advertised in clare hall today 28-Aug]
    Console bundle is 269€ there

You'll also want to get another nunchuck and wiimote (controllers). They'll cost you approx 50€ + 20€.

    Good day to you

I bought a wii during the week for the young fella. Wii including Wii sports from Pixmania was €219 IIRC. They didn't seem to have the wii fit in stock but the other games were about €35 compared to €50 generally in the shops here.

    Worth a look... pixmania.ie.

The price of Wii games online is crazy. I'm also shocked xtravision is the cheapest place to buy Wii games.
