William Cooper is an ex American Navy Intelligence officer who went public in the early 90's with all his fiindings during his time in that position and he continued to bring hidden elements in the American government to light until he was shot dead in 2001.

His book 'Behold a Pale Horse' is essential reading for any conspiracy theorist. Remember though that even a researcher like Cooper is still subject to the perils of disinformation.

Yeah he speaks of disinformation alot himself and he encourages anybody researching the field to have proper supporting evidence for any claims made. Disinformation is the main reason that conspiracy theories aren't taken more seriously. I think Alex Jones speaks alot of disinformation and is more a fear-mongerer than anything else.
