    Over the past couple of days, the refurb section of the US Apple Store has seen a serious uptick in the choice of MacBook Pros for sale and at steeper discounts than I have seen over the past few months.....18%-33% discount on 17" macbook pros.

    Is Apple clearing the sales channel of stock ahead of a new product launch?

    There have been a number of rumors circulating about an upcoming MacBook/MacBook Pro refresh (some leaked case designs so far on Engadget and other sites) in September - Apple typically holds a September event to refresh its' iPod lines but has been known to update some Macs at these events to. At this stage, it's pretty much certain that some kind of refresh is coming in September, but what exactly will get updated, only The Steve knows...
