    Hi Guys,

My cellulite is noticeably worse lately, Im 5 7' and only 8 stone and still have cellulite. Im going on holiday in six weeks is there any hope I could improve this? Im sure there have been a million answers, I find L'oreal thingy quite good, but im willing to exercise or whatever it takes, really pissed off:(

Hun, there's nothing really you can do I'm afraid. All those creams, lotions and potions are scams.....
But cheer up, guys don't notice and even super-models like Carolina Kourkova or whatshername, one of the Victoria's secret ones have them.
I also find that a spray tan makes them magically disappear :)

thank you, I just feel like my thighs are balls of wobbly jelly, maybe it was the light ahem!!

Hey OP, are you a member of a gym by any chance? If so doing lots of weights aimed at the bum/ thighs area really helps I've found.

If not there's a great workout DVD from Davina McCall, the part that involves doing lots of squats will leave you unable to walk for a day but works on toning up the bum area brilliantly.

Also as someone else said, fake tan works wonders! As does getting a good brush and dry brushing the area concerned after a shower.

There are no cures as we all know but these few things really help with it's appearance :)

Yea, when you have a tan it tends to hide the orange peel more. I havent tried it but ive heard that massage and draining toxins from the area helps? Theres a good looking cellulite massager in the body shop im thinking of getting, maybe use that with a decent brand of cellulite cream (not sure if they work but worth a try- anything with caffine / talks about draining stuff. If its for a holiday maybe try it twice a day for at least 5 mins. Sorry I cant back this up with more info, these are just things I read from various places. If you find anything that helps, please let me know!

Cellulite is really only prevented by regular exercise, I believe, and once you have it, it's pretty much there for life. The Body Shop do do a Cellulite Serum with a Cellulite brush - used together, you should see an improvement in about 6 weeks.

If you're body brushing, it is important to brush your legs in an upward direction, something to do with your lymph I think. Anyway boosting your ciculation helps, and exfoliation or body brushing will stimulate this

Please tell me its reversable, I've seen pictures of Jerry Hall who had terrible cellulite two years ago and its much better now,

A girl I know had bad cellulite and started using those mbt runners. It's virtually all gone now. Ties in with what a poster above was saying about regular exercise. mbts make your leg muscles work a lot harder.

Yes this is one of the benefits of massage. We therapists cn use certain techniques to help combat it and yes it is also to do with the lymph flow

I get a huge amount of exercise, one of which, horse riding, is meant to be fantastic for toning lets and backside, but I still have cellulite :( I'm in my mid 20s, 5' 3" and 8.5 stone, and pretty toned and, like a previous poster, I have more cellulite than my mum. Maybe some people are just more prone to it? I'll definitely give the body brushing a try

I had horrible cellulite and just drank loads of water and gave up tea and coffee and it goes!! But if I get lazy and don't drink water it'll come back. Try hot water and lemon in the morning and drinking room temperature bottled water (even the 27c tesco value one will do). It takes me about 2 weeks to get rid if I drink around 2 litres a day. Don't drink too much though because it's quite dangerous... Loreal perfect slim and a a nice cheap exfoliant will help it along too.

I'm currently training for the Dub Marathon and my cellulite has diminished drastically. It's still there but not half as noticeable as before.

So get out running, go on the threadmill in the gym or go power walking and drink lots and lots of water.

I used that l'oreal cellulite cream before (the green nighttime one) and found it very good. Stinks like mad though and the bf made me stop because it was stinking the bedroom out.

I'm 24 and have had it since I was about 20. I used to really fret about it, tried all sorts of things to get rid of it, and nothing worked. Then I realized I have a pretty face and a sexy body. If having those things doesn't make me feel confident, even with cellulite, then why would I feel confident without it? I'm not going to spend my 20s, which are probably going to be my most attractive years, tbh, freaking out about looking like a human.

Would cycling help cellulite? I've a bit on the backs of the thighs and am taking up cycling for general fitness but if it helps the dreaded cellulite that'd be a bonus. :o
Like PillyPen don't worry about it too much. It's not like I wear hot pants every day. (or ever in fact) I think we all go through 'My body is hideous!' phases and I'm having one now, hence the cycling. In a couple of months my new bike will be redundant as I sit indoors eating pasties. :)

Ha, that's the truth! What got me out of the last one was doing a Google search for cellulite fixers and finding this:
There is a massive billion-dollar industry of anti-cellulite treatments, and Dr. Oz says all of the treatments—from creams and balms to procedures like rolling and smacking—have one thing in common: They don't really work. "You can't put a cream on and get inside the fat cell," he says.

While they may be able to give you a short-term reduction in appearance of cellulite—caused by swelling in blood vessels and tissue—"It doesn't hold," Dr. Oz says. "Here's one more bit of data: The guys don't care that much. They really don't."
Then I realized a man had never once complained about it, and I can't see it unless I'm looking for it, so who am I trying to impress?

Anyway, if I'm going to be worried about anything, it's stretch marks. :p Over that worry, too. At least for now.

So this mystery woman set up a blog to tout the wonders of this new anti-cellulite cream and has so far just managed a total of one post extolling the virtues of the cream. You have three posts here over a period of months all pointing to the blog. Nice attempt at trying to get clicks on that site. Definitely a spammer.

Yes, looked a bit suss. The phrase 'Now after using this cream, I have no cellulite!' is where she lost me.
