Hey, I was wondering if anyne can recommend a hair product for me, I have a natural curl to my hair, not too curley, more of a wave, which I would mouuse when wet and let dry, its the only way I can get the waves/curls to stay in..but this makes it hair crunchy (does that makes sense?!)

So, I was wondering if anyone can recommend something else that would do the same job, but would have my hair still soft?!

My hair is really curly, and I use Nexxus Exxtra Gel. As long as you don't overdo it it won't get crunchy. I hate the crunch.

Go to bed with your hair slightly damp!! Always worked for me.

I know there are a lot of products out there for curly hair but I haven't used any myself.

Ohhh, also the John Frieda line of shampoos and conditioners for curly hair. If those aren't available in Ireland I'm screwed.

Oh, If I let it dry naturally, it just goes frizzy :(

I've found that almost all curls are different. It all depends on the color, treatment and styling, i;e do you use straighteners or a blowdryer.
For me it's been all about trial and error. I have a wavy hair, not that much of a curl really, I have to work it to be real curly. But latelt I found the prefect solution for my hair. It mightn't work for you but it could be worth a try.

Shampoo with whatever you use currently. If you rinse it out properly it shouldn't really matter. For conditioner, Redken does a wonderful one. Don't remember the name but it's in a dark green bottle.
Then I use jojoba oil, yes I know, shocking, an oil???? But it never ever turns out greasy, it just goes into to the hair shaft and leaves my hair smooth. For styling I use Pantene Curling mousse. In fact I swear by it. It doesn't go hard on your hair it just comes out in the perfect curls for me. Sort of bed-head natural, you know?
So that's my regime. The Redken you can get at a hairdressers but I think it's the jojoba oil tht you can get in any health shop that does the trick. Just a drop or two is excellent!
Oh and I always wash my hair in the morning and let it dry on it's own.

I recommend Tigi`s Curls Rock leave in its the best on the market without a doubt 250ml for €20.00.you can also curl shampoo by redken 300ml for €16.00.it will go a long way towards helping you achieve the look you want.

I've the same type of hair as you OP, wavy curls! I find any of the Aussie products are great. I use their mousse and a curling serum (though not both at the same time!!) and they work a treat

If you have a bit of body to your hair, a light wave:
if you wrap your hair into a little bun on top of your head before you go to bed, you wake up to perfect curls, always works for me :) you can do this when your hair is wet or dry.
    If your hair is straight:
I used some excellent spray from umberto gianni, a few times, when my hair was wet, and it dried lovely and soft, and curly. It was essentially salt water, and I searched for it and cant find it at all.. but this one is similar, and excellent, John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Waves Sea Spray
If your hair is very curly:
Pantene make a lovely mousse, specifically for curly hair, that if you put in a small amount when your hair is wet, brush through with a large tooth comb, and then leave your hair to dry naturally you wont frizz at all. when your hair is almost dry try john frieda, or frizz ease serum, a small amount, and scrunch it into your hair. Perfect curls, all day.

I have wavy/curly hair aswell and i know exactley what you mean about moose leaving your hair feeling crunchy. I have started using Umberto Giannini Flirty Curls Scruching Jelly. I got it in boots. It leaves your hair with a natural curl and doesn't feel like there is product in it at all except that it's softer.

I have two friends who use this and swear by it, their hair always looks fantastic and its pretty reasonable!!
