Hedges from hell !!

    Can anybody recommend to me whats the best tool or piece of equipment to help me cut back these hedges? i`ve booked a digger for friday but my petrol strimmers is just a waste of time i have to to around the whole house ...

    here is some pictures ..

    any advice is really appreciated ..

    I'd just leave it and the digger driver will have no problem cleaning back the scrubb and keeping it seperate from the clean soil...

    Better paying the digger for an hour to do this than hiring equipment and busting yourself...

    You might need somewhere to bury the scrubb or even better a tractor & trailor to draw it away..

    You need a big petrol trimmer with an 80tooth blade to clear that kind of scrubby growth.
    40cc+ can you hire one?

    thanks i`ll try the usual places in co limerick i haven`t a clue what to ask for now i know ... 80tooth plade whats the rate per week for one of those? i`ll still need a digger ....

    Ask for a clearing saw, and don't forget the PPE or you will regret it.

    lets get back to hedges ... somebody told me pour diesel on them is that mad? were they tking the pi** whats the best weed killer to do the job?
