Anyone use this? What's it all about? I read about it all the time but really I'm on too many bloody social networks already, but I'm quite curious as to all the press it gets.

Who here uses it, and what's all the fuss about?

I just found the video: http://twitter.com/help/how

Is it just much more popular in the US than in Ireland etc?
Not much point in having it if no one else you know uses it...

Unless you want to follow Bahark Pbama etc.

They just killed their UK free SMS number (which is the same one Irish users get messages from) because they can't cut a deal with the mobile operators there, apparently. Makes it pretty pointless here.

The person is famous then they get the tweet but it does not show unless they choose to "re-tweet" it on their own page. (known as "RT" for re-tweet)
They get hundreds of tweets so the chance of your tweet being shown is small.

The tweet shows on your page shows that it worked, your own page is a record of all the tweets you wrote.

I hate it, and the stupid message size limit is enough to drive you nuts, I use it as it can be useful for dealing with support for companies where social media seems to be done ok with, appart from that, can't stand it. Don't like texting either, so I guess its a love or hate it thing
