Any idea where you can get this here? Is it just a holiday thing or can you actually get it in Ireland - I think its French?

Does seem to be French, but is now owned by Cadburies:

True enough I've not seen any in a long time.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orangina

Haven't a clue, it hasn't been around for years! Used to love gulping down a glass bottle of this stuff.

Can't beat red Orangina. I moved to France specifically for the rouge.

Haha I went into that wikipedia link and the first line read:

"Orangina is a carbonated citrus beverage made from d*ck juice, cl*t juice and lemon"

when I went back into the page it was gone and just said:

"Orangina is a carbonated citrus beverage made from orange, lemon, and mandarin juice"

    Weird?!

Yeah it looks like they've been bought by another company who don't distribute in Ireland :(

You're supposed to be drinking warm Fanta, not Orangina...
    http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=mucksavage
    mucksavage
Common Irish term for a country dweller or someone unfamiliar with urban life. These creatures thrive on Hang sandwiches and warm Fanta orange.
A: What's that funny looking thing in the corner?
    B: That's a television you stupid mucksavage.
    :p

Oh sweet jesus christ that stuff is vile. i actually feel ill whenever i see it now.

I was in Cambodia last sept. Got absolutely trolleyed on cocktails in the Foreign Correspondants Club (**** cool place, veranda, old fashioned ceiling fans, little lizards climbing up the wall. You expect Michael Cain to walk in any second) the last night in Siem Reap.

Flew to Phnom Penh the next morning (****hole don't go there) and I was dying for a Club Orange or a Fanta or a cup of proper irish tea or my mammy or my own bed. Best I could find was Orangina.

    Turned my stomach inside out.

Airplane sick bag are the best invention ever.

Orangina is pretty disgusting, however, at least it's not as bad as Tanora (which, thankfully, is only available in Cork)

the orangina advert on the tv at the moment is so gross it's put me off ever buying it again (the one with the "sexy" animals dancing around and riding the bottles of orangina as they explode)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,413 ✭✭✭TeletextPear

I saw it in Spar on Sullivan's/George's Quay last week (by Parliament Bridge and Sober Lane).

It's all over the place in Scotland. Think it's made by the same people who do Irn Bru.
