    .. not sure if it's public knowledge among fans of the show, but didn't want to spoil it too much by giving away William Petersen has left in the topic title but he'll be replaced by none other than MORPHEUS!

    I love William Petersen, he is a great actor. Without him, CSI will not be the same, at least for me anyway. Although, I have to say CSI isn't that good anymore. Maybe a new character could bring the sparks back.

    I love and will miss Petersen's character, but now I'm intrigued... This could work out well indeed.

    Aren't Gary Dourdan and Jorja Fox gone too?

    Yes, can't say I will miss them. Their characters just held no interest to me anymore, especially in the recent episodes. Hope they will bring Louise Lombard back, always liked her character, Sofia Curtis.

    Sad to hear this tbh. William Petersen is a legend as is the character Gil Grissom. I think Fishburne will do a decent job.

    I really hated Grissom at the start but now I think he's a great character. I knew he was planning to leave for a while and I honestly thought Liev Schreiber was going to be his full time replacement. I thought his character had a great backstory to it. But Fishbourne hsould be a great replacement.
