I apolgise if this is in the wrong forum, but i thought i would ask here.

I have a small amount (up to €5000) that i want to invest in something , I am willing to take realtively high risk , but as a result would expect a reasonably quick and potentially high return.

Is there a type of fund/captial investment company that can help?

Im new to this and would really appreciate any advice/experience people can lend to this?

What is your risk tolerance ? (Be specific)

What is your time horizon ?

What is your expected return ?

    More info. is needed. Thanks

I have a high risk tolerance , and would be looking at a time frame of 1-5 years. I am uncertain as to what level of return I would be looking at , which is one of the reasons i came here.

Esentially , given my high risk tolerance and time frame I wonder what type of return i would be looking at?

Basically all you've said is you have some amount, up to €5,000 available for some period, from 1 to 5 years.

With an amount this small your options are limited I'm afraid. I don't really have any advice for you. If you can get your hands on any of the Dublin airport bonds that were sold recently I think they pay 6.5% per annum.

Otherwise your best bet is to stick into an Anglo, regular savers account that pays 8% or the AIB one that pays 7.3%. This will take a while to do as there are restrictions on the monthly amount but shouldnt take longer than 6/7 months with such a small amount.

If you're looking for high-risk / potentially high return maybe you could look ay buying an ISEQ ETF for the whole €5,000. It's possibly the market will recover over the next five years.

I do think that you should have clearer goals though if you expect clear answers on here - good luck anyway with whatever you do.

you can look at rabodirect funds which have low fees and are relatively easy to get in on, then just go for whatever risk you want, you can approach a broker or a bank/insurance company as well and see what they have to say.
