I've just got a another skybox and intend getting new LNB to set it all up properly shortly but for now is there another way of joining up the second box. I'm sure I've read on here that there is although not with full function on second box. I've searched through 16 pages with no luck so any help appreciated.

The only way to get it working correctly is to fit a quad lnb and cable

Yes, you can disconnect the LNB feed from the existing Digibox and connect it to the second one.

You could also use a slitter that has a capacitor in one output leg. Connect the LNB feed to the splitter. Connect the new Digibox to the capacitor (decoupled) output. Connect the existing Digibox to the remaining output.

The new Digibox can now select any channel from the band selected by the old Digibox. However, the signal to each box will be reduced by at least 50% so you may get "drop-out".
