I need help with an excel file I am working on.

I am trying to amalgamate a load of spreadsheets into one document and there is a lot of copying and pasting.

BUT for some reason, when I move the cursor over a cell, an email address appears and I cannot click on the cell without microsoft outlook opening up.

All that is in these cells are text. How do I get rid of this?

I have tried clearing the formats, retyping into the cells but its no use.

I have to have this ready by later on this afternoon!!:(

    Any ideas?

    2 tips:

    1. You can rightclick on an individual cell and select "Remove Hyperlink" from the popup menu.

    2. You can navigate a spreadsheet without using a mouse. Use the cursor keys, and hold down the shift key to select multiple cells...

I have tried No.1 but no luck.

This excel sheet is for the office and > 5 people will be using it each day so No.2 isnt really feasible.

Any other ideas, as I am nearly at my wit's end here trying to figure it out !

OK try using a macro to remove all hyperlinks:
