Is there anywhere you can get or buy sandbags?

Floodwater currently lapping at the back doorstep and looks like there will be more tomorrow, Monday, etc.!

Anyone thought of building an Ark?

If I were you I'd try building providers.

    Hope you get it sorted.

i dont know about sandbags, but it seems like your tactics are far too defensive. remember; the best defence, is a good offence.

my advice, next time it comes back, put a few rounds of buckshot in it....scare it right off. if that fails.....set it on fire... DONE

No the OP should use fire. Evaporate the b@stards!

Try Smyths for children's play sand.

    i'd say that'd cost a fortune?

Also be ready to block the toilet, what goes down, comes back in a flood situation!

If it's already lapping the back door it's likely to already be under the house, watch your floor boards, block any vents you have for the subfloor void (assuming a suspended wooden floor), place planks across the door thresholds and use anything you can lay your hands on to seal around them.

Nope. Just bring them back as soon as the floods are over with the receipt for a full refund. The bags will still be unopened after all.

I always thought the FCA were known as the "sandbaggers" (cos in a war theyd be the first to be shot!)!
