I occasionally get red inflammed patches of dryness in the centre of my forehead, and around my eyebrows, and patches to the side of my nose on either side. Have a bit of a flakey scalp also, although this is not a major problem for me. Not entirely sure what causes the redness - perhaps stress related, and heavy drinking…

Just wondering if anyone has experience with any ointments etc that might sooth the redness? Can be a bit itchy as well. I can go for long periods when it doesn't affect me at all.

Doesn't seem to be any specific term to describe this condition, so is difficult to find information.

You'd probably be best seeing your GP to get a definitive diagnosis/referral to someone can make one.
