    Hey Niamh,
    Welcome,
First of all what do you want from the camera?Do you want it for sports nights out, pictures of family? And also if you have a rought idea of a budget we'll be able to pint you in the right direction easily.

The fuji s5800 is a good camera nice long zoom and fuji are normally good cameras that produce nice colours

I had one of its predecessors (the s5000). They're an absolutely fantastic camera. Never, ever let you down.

    Here's a review:

    And some customer reviews:

It really depends on what type of photography you want to do. That said, my son recently bought the S5800, and I have to say, it is a great little camera. If you want something that takes great shots, a good zoom and is small and light enough to bring with you just about anywhere, then you won't go wrong with it. Its' also easy to use and has enough manual controls if you want to take more control of your images. It cetainly impressed me and my son loves it!
