I have a 30D with 17-85 and Sigma 100-400, and I need a second body Should I go up to a SH 5D or up to a new 40D. If I go the 5D I'll need a replacement for the 17-85, so I'm favouring the 40D from HK. I'll need a grip so that's my only other expense (I think!).

KEA seem to be pricy now, Digital Rev seem to be the best considering the free postage

well afaik the 100-400 sigma will work on the 5D but the 17-85 wont...
Buying the 40D is a much cheaper option as you dont have to also buy new glass.

If you buy 5D, it won't be 2nd body. It will become 1st body :-)

THat's why I was drawn to it

Very pricey in Ireland though, and I wouldn't buy a second hand one on the net.
