Friday night is traditionally Pizza & Beer night in the Dunne household.

It typically consists of a 10" with, um, girly food (chicken and stuff), and a 12" Mexicana with chili beef and jalapeño peppers.

All washed down with a few heineken, or more usually, Lidl's finest Pils.

    Now I am starving.

That sounds epic, where would one pick up such a box of pleasure?

I am going for a Bombay Pantry, Lamb Roganjosh, pilau rice, garlic naan, all washed down with 6 pints of London Pride. Cue enormo fart.

I MUST have one of these! Time to start lobbying my local chipper... although I don't hold out much hope - they only introduced cheese chips last year after months of campaigning from me, and even that was pushing the envelope a bit too much as far as the ker-azy folk of Tullow were concerned...

The Californian deep dish take-away pizza (loaded with olives, tomato, bell peppers, mushrooms, 3 cheeses, ham, pineapple) with shrimp Louie salad side, and Murphy's stout sounds grand for a Friday night. Yummmmmy! Maybe we'll watch an Underworld DVD cause the Moon is full? Or a bit more risque' Femme Fatale'?

    chineese all the way baby!!

working till 10, so i'll order into the job, have some scram here and then head straight for the tins at 10, then pub at about 12 till closing.. cheaper to have a tin or three in the house first

EDIT - Silver star (brown star as i call it) in Waterford

sorry but that sounds like the vilest pizza I could ever imagine, pineapple does not belong on a pizza or any main course for that matter its a dessert fruit FFS & who here eats salad

if i had any money, i would be ordering from the local indian in ashtown but my stupid employers have said i have to wait to get paid on monday, like everyone else

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 647 ✭✭✭My name is Mud

I feel the complusion to add my 2 cents to this thread...

Myself and the missus quite regularly get the Indian on a Friday night

    2 options:

Option 1 (a little old skool, as we dont live near there anymore)
Bombay to Go in Phibsboro: Non veg meal deal. Chicken pakoras and lamb tikka to start.
I usually get the North Indian Chilli chicken, she gets the Green Herb lamb for the mains. Nan and popadoms. We sometimes alternate the mains to a Madras, Vindaloo or a Rogan Josh. On Good Friday, she did however get a prawn biryiani.

Option 2 (we live nearer this one now)
    Spice and Rice, Clanbrassil Street
Garlic Chicken Pakoras and Veg Samosas to start
Chicken Chilli Masalla and a changing lamb dish (Achari, Green Herb, Vindaloo). This place also does a "Phall" which is supposedly insanely hot. I may try it next week.
    Always get some nan.

And this is all washed down with a bottle of red, and sometimes a Cobra or two after that.

Its amazing. It does pack on the belly too though...so I need to even it out with some sort of excercise.

Plus the curry farts in the morning are amazing.

Can you perhaps confirm the *actual* size of a Wagon Wheel??? I've heard wildly conflicting reports.

Confession for today: I've never had a Doner Kebab.

Or a Big Mac, come to think of it.

You're probably just as well. Big Macs are muck, get yourself a whopper instead. As for Doners... I can only stomach them when pished. Not a healthy thing.

while a large pizza is usually a tasty sized 16" the wagon wheel is 20" :D
and do what the man says and hit a whopper not a big mac (i do like big macs though :P)
and get yerself a doner and you'll be sorted for quite a while :)
