    Hi all,
I've just finished a college degree and have been looking for work now for the last couple of months. I haven't had much luck and I was thinking of going on the dole. Some of my friends are saying that you must wait 3 months after you leave college before you can claim. Is this true?

The 3 months rule only applies when you do your leaving cert. You can make a cliam now.

You will need a letter from your college proving your course has finished. Call into the administrator and you'll get one no probs. They'll do it on the spot

I'm sure they are used to this.
