Brokensoul changes her name!

Not a PI as such, just an update. As requested by a few of you, i have changed my username from Brokensoul to Phoenix Rising.

I am a year sober today.

It has by no means been an easy year but no day sober has been as bad as my last day drinking.

Thanks to all for your support, advice and encouragement over the last year. I have been very glad of it and im sure i will need it just as much for the coming year. In return, if i can offer any help or assistance to anyone who thinks that they might have a drink problem then feel free to Pm me.

Im sitting here at work looking at the beautiful bunch of flowers that my OH presented me with this morning. This day last year he watched me shaking, crying, cutting my arms and begging not to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital. What a difference a year makes...

Ironic. You choose my name due to beating your addiction and my life is going down the pan, yet drink is my only saviour but the realily is it is just more of the problem.

I also think it's kind of fitting that Phoenix_Rising makes a complete break from her past by having a new account anyway. Rather symbolic and uplifting! Goes with her new life!

What an amzing feeling that must be.... I must say a huge congrats, I have huge admiration for you, i can personally relate to what you and your OH went through!

My OH came out rehab five weeks ago today and is off the drink 87 days, we are taking every day as a blessing!
To see that you are doing so well and are so incredibly strong give's me great hope!

I wish you a life of happiness and to always of the strength that you possess now!

My OH is 117 days sober today, tis a big journey for us both, but we are getting there.
