Moving UPC signal to a different location

    Hi there,

I got UPC Digital (& BB & digital phone) installed 2 months ago upstairs and I have Sky downstairs. The problem is that I want to move the broadband router & phone connection downstairs as it's like a bloody airport with all the lights in the room.

There had been a Chorus connection downstairs in the house previously so it's there any way I can divert the signal downstairs (without running a cable or calling UPC back out) It wouldn't matter if I lost the digital channels upstairs as analogue is fine for the bedroom.

    Thanks in advance,
    gman

Is that old chorus point still live? If so just plug the router / modem in downstairs and keep the decoder upstairs

Analogue, Digital TV and Broadband/Phone on UPC all use the same cable or point.

Hi lads, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. The connection point downstairs has had the cable end taken off it so all I have is a stripped cable with masking tape around it. I attached a cable to it (cheapo one from lidl) to see if I was getting any signal at all and it seems nothing is coming through it.
Do UPC do something outside your house, to route the signal upstairs or downstairs buy not both, because one of the plastic utility doors on the gable of the house was left open when he connected me.

    Thanks again
