I've always been a bit of a tomboy but I'd like to put in a little bit of effort.

I'm crap at putting on make up and tend to be very safe when buying clothes, iv'e made a few big fashion mistakes.I'm a bit of a punky girl I don't want to lose that.

    Any Advice :D

This is a tough one. It takes quite a few hit and misses before anyone is fully confident with their own style.
So I am probably a bad one to answer this because I know exactly what I want all the time!
So your a little punk but you want to be more stylish... I suppose you can keep that but just thread in the latest stuff. If a style suits eg. skinny jeans- wear them with your punky clothes.
Or find a shape that is in that suits you and buy it in the colours etc that you like. I'd suggest urban outfitters or topshop to be a little safer at the start.
Hope this was of some help!

Getting stuff that suits your body shape is v.important! Once you're confident you can pick stuff that suits your shape, you'll pretty much never go wrong!

Blouses are in, could get a black blouse, wear a funky skirt, patterned tights, boots over them, lots of accessories? could suit night/day look, easy to customise, nice intro to the evil world of fashion ;)

Try small changes, like get a few belts, wear them in different ways, a nice hat for the winter, a new bag etc, a statement coat etc, then try get more bits like a tailored pants you can pair with anything, maybe add your own style to things, I'm always cutting buttons off pennys jumpers and adding nicer ones and sewing tiny details on.

Why don't you get a make over at one of the make up counters? It's free but you generally buy about e30 of products after. You can see the girl putting the make up on and ask her for tips on colours, application, products, etc.

The one thing that you could do if look at the manequinn in the shop and if you like it - try it all on ..... the people in the shop have co-ordinated these together so they will work together so you can't go far wrong ! :)
