Best hair dye for Men (I'm going gray and I'm only 27 )

Hiya,

See I'm going gray and I'm only 27 , Not just a few grays but gray.

Does anybody have any recomendation for the best hair dye for men.

I don't want to use "Just for men" as they have mega creepy adds

Any practical advice would be much appricaited!

But it's making me look about 35+,

I'd shave it all off, except I had an adventeous youth, and have loads of bumps and scares and stuff.

But if you really wanna cover them, as I said in another thread - women's hairdye is just as good as men, Clairol, 'Nice and Easy' ftw.

Unreal the amount of women into grey hair, I should probably stop dying. Do ye's not think it looks bad when going grey (like tons of grey strands through dark), I know it looks grand when fully grey?

I'm thinkin that I might post some before and after shots,

and have a vote to see which looks better.

Can't ask friends, which is better, due to the amount of abuse I'd get .

Good Idea / Bad Idea ?

no imo its best mixed in with black/dark hair, a full head wouldn't look as good.

As has been said just let it go grey. Nothing wrong with it and it suits alot of guys. I'm almost 31 and I have a fine bald spot and receeding hair at the front and it doesn't bother me at all. No hair transplants for me!

Going grey- it happens.

Consider yourself lucky - I started going grey when I was 15 and I'm a woman! Can't really see men posting "grey women are sexy" can you???

I do personally think a man going grey though would look nicer than a man with dyed hair. Although if you're really worried about it you could try a non permanent hair colour that washes out after a few shampoos. That way you could see if it suits you or not.

You're right not to ask your friends advice as they will give you abuse - have you any female friends you could ask?

(Tip: it will say on the box if the colour is permanent or not. if in doubt ask the person working in boots or wherever)

Fructis is a brilliant and leaves your hair lovely an soft after it's all washed out but you have to do it right, jet black hair dye will never work, it'll always looked dyed and fake on a guy (I don't know why, it just does), if you're going to dye it go for a brown that's a shade lighter than your natural colour(I'm assuming you've brown hair) and your own colour will blend and make it look more natural. Also leaving a few gray streaks for highlights would look awesome, instead of a blanket dye job try work with it, multicoloured hair is always hot when done right.

Nah seriously, I am more worried about my hair line receding than going grey, I have one or two grey hairs at 22 and don't give a **** if I get more. I'm just thankful that I'm not going bald nor close to it!
