Just picked up their debut album "Peaceful, The World Lays Me Down" and listening to it right now, gotta say I like it alot. They Remind me of Belle & Sebastian and The Moody peaches.

This is there latest single - 5 Years Time

If you like this you should definitely check out the album.

    Naturally. ;)

The labum was alright, if a little bit corny.

    Laura Marling is involved? :O

I did not know this. Interesting.

I don't remember hearing her, although maybe she is.

I think its just a general fact that Laura Marling is vastly superior. ;)

Alison Curtis and Paul McCloon are giving the new album good airplay, I really like it.. frankly that 5 years time song really annoyed me but the new stuff is beautiful. They say it's coz his mott gave him the flick?

Check the date of the post DigiGal - unfortunately the Whelan's gig was in 2008.

I really liked the first album. If you get past '5 Years Time' there are some absolutely cracking songs on it like 'Give a Little Love' and '2 Atoms in a Molecule'

Anyway, the second album is just gorgeous. Only listened to it a couple of times but I'm really liking what I'm hearing.

Did anyone get to see them at Cois Fharraige last week?

I saw them on Tuesday night in Utrecht, third time seeing them but this one blew the roof off. They were absolutely immense- one of the best gigs I've been at for years and I'm not one to exaggerate. They gave it absolutely everything and played probably every song they've ever written over a 2 hourish set.

I've had the album for a couple of weeks now. It's a really well crafted piece of work. Absolutely gorgeous songs on it.

I think i saw them last year. They have a good catalogue of songs (second album is brilliant) but the arrangement of the songs was poor when i sw them I would imagine they're taking a breather and will be back next year
