Should I extend my VAIO warranty?

    Hi,

This might seem like a stupid question.. I bought a VAIO laptop last year. Should I bother extending my warranty to 3 years? This costs 300 euro.
I think VAIO stuff is pretty reliable, but I'm not sure if breakage is common or not.. what is the most likely failure? And how much would it cost to repair if I didn't have a warranty?

Probably an obvious question.. but obvious because the answer is yes or no?

If you think the laptop will keep you for 3 years. I mean, if it has all the processing power and all that you think you will need as software develops, then sure go on. Especially if it covers accidental damages.

I pretty much agree with Overheal, but if the laptop was only bought for 7/800 i would have to think long and hard about spending that much on a warrenty extension.

If it covers accidental damage as well then I'd consider it if not then I wouldn't.

Most of the time, the extended warranty is not worth the extra cost, especially when you are dealing with a computer that is a little on the old side, but as Overheal said if you think you could use it for another 3 years without it becoming obsolete, it might be worth it.

It does not cover accidental damage..

My laptop is on every day for 12-18 hours so I'm concerned about CPU failure. Anyway thanks for the replies!
