Ok hope this is in the right section.

I have a Samsung L70 camera and i just have a question regarding FPS i want to take some video footage with it and was just wondering what would be the best setup for it?

It has two options one is 15fps and the other is 30fps, is it a case of 15fps has less quality than the 30fps option?

    Much appreciated.

Generally, 30fps would be the smoothest and easiest on the eye. You might find 15fps a bit choppy.

your camera film/buffer must not be too big o on the 15 frames per second it has to make only half the video there fore quaility can be better on the 30 fps it making twice as many frames reducing the quaility so you camera still get a smooth video

depending on length, you're going to want one hell of a big memory card.

Who dont ye just record 2 similar videos on each setting?

A good comparison is a fast moving subject [a dog, cars drivin down the road]

That'll also show if the cam will suffer from motion blur

Keep in mind though, its a still-camera first, so dont be expecting too much

Thanks for the replys so far guys. The card i have in my camera is a 2gb SD more than enough for what i need. Im going to a gig tomorrow and i just want to record a few bits from it.

Ive been messing around with a little if i leave it on 15fps the video lenght is 3hours long and if i switch it to 30fps the time drops to 1 hour 30 minutes so im assumeing its all to do with quality.

I havent experimented with taking video in the two different formats but i will give that a go.

    .

Not so much actual picture quality, its simply down to the fact that you are recording twice as many frames.

30 will do you much better if you want to do anything with it.

if its a gig the audio is gna be atrocious, which should be prioritised over the picture quality

Also, the sound is muted when you zoom

If its important, borrow a camcorder

or just actually enjoy the gig when you're there instead of worrying about recording it.

I was at Tom Waits in the Phoenix Park recently and they were very strict about the no cameras rule - there were stewards going around shining torches at anyone who was trying to take pictures or video. It's a start, but really these people should be thrown out...
