    Hey all,

Can anyone recommend a scenic course somewhere between Galway and Clifden along that stretch of the coastline?

Not looking for anything other than a good example of Irish scenery / coastal beauty blah blah blah...and not too expensive.. (alot of my golfing budget for the father in ireland was spunked on Carton House!!)

    Cheers

Connemara GC, Ballyconneely. Outstanding links course, not too expensive, some great views...

Played that place years ago off the back sticks in a hurricane, vicious hard.
Was struggling to reach par 3's in one and some par 4's in 2.
    Good course though.

Agree with Zzippy, you really have to play Ballyconneely. Great & enjoyable course, beautiful views and you can nip down and have a swim afterwards.

Bromavinci, I think you said on another thread that you enjoyed Montgomery at Carton House. If you can play Montgomery you can play Ballyconeely. As hard as it tries and as well as it is put together, Montgomery is an inland course tricked up to resemble a links. Ballyconneely is the real thing. Just as hard but much more fun.

Cheers Fellas - will take a look at Ballyconneely...

BTW - I played Montgomery but i didnt necessarily do to well! Fortunately the driver was on song so I was getting a long way up the fairways on most of the long holes!!
