    Strange .......are these being 'dumped' on the Irish market by mistake? Sony may believe that whatever sells in the U.K. will probably also sell here.....

    These sets are not compatible with our DTT -no MPEG4- but perhaps they are only destined for the cable/satellite 'captive' customer?

    If you download the press release it states that both are Mpeg 4 compatible, like the current W4000 and X series!

    Is it me or does the X4500 look horrible!

    Yeah there not great looking, they dont have a patch on Samsung or LG's looks. I assume the W4500 looks like the W4000 which has a faint blue sparkle to it but you need to go looking for it to see it.

    By co incidence the French version of the Sony release popped up today on my automatic daily search for references to TNT (DTT) with the MPEG4 confirmation..

    And yes I am only trying to be helpful.......

    That LG looks fantastic in the flesh, i have to say.It might become annoying after a while, though.Its quite reasonably priced lately too.Here , for example.Thats the 37" Full HD version for ~770e.Its quite shouty about its performance too.They claim a contrast ratio of 50000:1
