Is Shalke vs. Atletico on anywhere?

Arsenal are missing Fabregas, Toure, Senderos, Rosicky, Nasri, Eduardo and Diaby for the trip to FC Twente.

    Probable line-up:

Almunia; Clichy, Gallas, Djourou, Sagna; Walcott, Denilson, Ramsey, Eboue; van Persie, Adebayor.

who'll play the left? would it be RVP with walcott up front?

  • Users Awaiting Email Confirmation Posts: 15,001 ✭✭✭✭Pepe LeFrits

If we had someone like Rosicky or Nasri fit I could see Arsene going 4-5-1 but I think it'll be Walcott on the left and van Persie in attack (but dropping deep). That's how it has been for the most of pre-season anyway.

Absolutely massive test for those players though, particularly Ramsey and Denilson.

Schalke 04 v Atletico Madrid is definitely the biggest game there. That is going to be a hard match, especially since Madrid are without Aguero. I really want him to shine in the CL this year so I'll be going for Atletico.

Jaysus, are they all out injured?

I'm intrigued to see how Ramsey gets on. He looked good for Cardiff, but I don't know about £5m good...

yes it sure is but look at juves strike force : Del piero , Amauri , Trezegol , giovinco and Iaquinta. just can't see past a Juve win. Goals Galore.

the game will be on Bet365 and Betfair websites, you must be a member of the sites but you dont need a credit card, just normal registration .

Yes, and the same Artmedia who almost blew it in the 2nd leg when they were thumped at Celtic Park.

I still have the old analogue satellite set up, so can watch Juve on RaiUno or the Schalke - Atletico game on Sat1 for free:D ...who says digital is the way forward:pac:

    S Moscow 1 v D Kiev 4

    Liverpool

Reina, Arbeloa, Dossena, Carragher, Agger, Alonso, Plessis, Benayoun, Kuyt, Keane, Torres.

Subs: Cavalieri, Hyypia, Gerrard, Voronin, Insua, El Zhar, Pennant.

    Same as Lazio.

Standard Liege are missing thier two first choice strikers. That should help.

    Mike.

    Levski Sofia 0 - 1 BATE Borisov

Would love to see a team not too much better than Drogheda make the group stages. Would bring more to the competition than Levski Sofia.

Juventus up 3-0 at half time , Camorenesi , del piero(Cracker!!) and cheillini goals.

should get another 1 or 2 in second half and throw on some less known players

When Liverpool's centre halves have the ball (which is regularly), why can't the wing backs come back into defence a bit more? Alonso and Plessis are being man marked so Carragher and Agger are forced to lump it forward too often. If the full backs came back they could at least pass it around until something opened up.

Phew, thank Christ they're not playing Deluxe Liege.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,492 ✭✭✭MementoMori

Liverpool battered in the first 15-20 mins but came into it after that.

Was never a penalty (outside the box) but the earlier effort looked like it might have been over the line.Need to see a replay Edit After the replay don't think it got over the line. Credit to Pepe on the save though.

Midfield the problem - Alonso back to his old failings - How many wasted free kicks? - Rafa needs to tell the three if we are playing 4-2-3-1 to drop back to pick up the ball of the defenders as it was too easy for Liege to stifle things by picking up Plessis and Alonso.

Hoofing long ball up to Torres and Keane is just a waste of time.

Odds must be high on Stevie G making an appearance?

OMG what a game in Belgrade!!!!

First of all partizan have worst team in last 10 years coz they sold all they had and stayed with some group of teenagers, and 5 best are at the olympics at the moment,so when you have team like Fenerbahce on the other side its logical what will happen.

Everyone here expected it will be success if they manage not to lose with more than 0-3.

It seems turkish team coz all of that understimated them and i am shocked by this i am watching now.

Who the hell is Fenerbahce here? They defend all the time,Partizan scored twice in first 14 min and missed 3 chances 1 on 1 (unexperience) and 1 goal was void coz of offside

Turks didnt manage even to come close to partizan's goal and when i started complaining about how they could score least 2 or 3 goals more easily and make sensation on half time,in 45th minute turkish managed to come in 16m field and referee gave them penalty....its ridiculous....and now they are back in the game with 2-1,totally undeserved, this really makes me to think again is it really interest of UEFA to avoid bad clubs qualify in the competition, coz this is not first time to see funny decisions like these as help to some rich club
